The Weatherization Program helps eligible low-income customers save money by conserving energy. This is accomplished by using a series of pressure diagnostics, safety testing, insulation, and other weatherization measures. Community Action of Eastern Iowa crews and/or subcontractors perform work on an eligible applicant’s home. Energy education is incorporated in each step of the weatherization process to explain how the measures performed will help our customers save energy. Explanations are given to each customer to further increase his/her energy savings, home comfort and indoor air quality. Owners and renters may be eligible for weatherization services.
