Program for Infant and Toddler Care (PITC) Series:

  • 5 modules of training for family child care providers and child care center staff who care for infants and toddlers.
  • Topics include social-emotional growth and socialization; group care; learning and development; culture; family and providers; and special needs.
  • Experienced, certified trainers.
  • Materials developed by West Ed and the California Department of Education.
  • Information and opportunities to network with other providers.
  • Information about additional training opportunities.
  • Materials and resources to enhance the quality of care for infants and toddlers.

ChildNet Series:

  • 25-hour (usually once a week for 10 weeks) series for family child care providers.
  • Topics include business practices, age-appropriate activities, routines, guidance, nutrition, health & safety, human relations and communication.
  • Information and opportunities to network with other providers.
  • Combined with CPR & First Aid training, Child & Adult Care Food Program participation and Mandatory Reporter of Child Abuse training, this completed series enables you to prepare for and pass an in-home evaluation to become ChildNet certified!

Welcome to Child Care Series:

  • 12-hour series intended for child care center staff and directors who are new.
  • Topics include age-appropriate activities, routines, guidance, health, and communication.
  • Information and opportunities to network with other providers.
  • Information about additional training opportunities.

Welcome to School-Age Care Series:

  • 10-hour (usually 5 weeks) series intended for family child care providers and child care center staff who care for school-age children.
  • Topics include age-appropriate activities, routines, guidance, health, and communication.
  • Information and opportunities to network with other providers.
  • Information about additional training opportunities.

Beyond Business Basics:

  • 32-hour (usually 16-week) series
  • Topics include quality and financial business issues
  • Information and opportunities to network with other providers
